    It's funny that I saw a WETA or PBS special on it for a few minutes the other night and I was thinking, oh yeah, it's a Texas thing.

    I had no idea what a juneteenth thing was so I looked it up online, its isnt just a Texas thing as it said like 30 odd states do have it as a state holiday, but it is primarily celebrated in Texas.

    I guess its just one of those random facts that I now know thanks to this board.

    Thanks RR. I love Juneteenth. We in the rimrocker household had Texas fare and I talked to the kids about the importance and meaning of Juneteenth.
