Ok guys, I'm with State Farm Insurance and think I am paying too much for Car Insurance.......Right now I'm paying $250 for two new cars and renters insurance per month. I'm still paying for both cars so I need full coverage. Anyone know if I can do better or does anyone have some kind of hookup? Would love to pay much less. Haven't had a tick or an accident in two years....taken defensive driving and had driving school; also would like to add my wife as a driver...or vice versa if she gets a better rate. Please advise and thanks in advance....

why not call progressive, geico, etc. and get quoted? Some of them you can even do online.. and it'll be pretty accurate if you don't have accidents/tickets.

Check to see if the company you work for has any discounts or anything

If you have a Costco card, go to their site or call and get a quote. I don't know if they have renter's insurance, but I'm paying about $600-something/year for car insurance (1 car). Call Progressive and GEICO, too. Just call the major insurance companies and ask for a quote (or get one on their websites if possible).

I had been with State Farm forever and decided to call Costco to see what they would offer when I bought my new car back in 2003. State Farm wanted something like $800-$950 every 6 months for it. Costco/Ameriprise gave me the same coverage for a bit over $300 every 6 months.
