[Help] Looking for Cheap Car

    My wifes brother is looking for a car and is having a hard time finding one with the price tag of $1,000. He lives up near 45 N but I live in Sugar Land. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

    I know $1,000 is not a lot for a car but coming from his situation and their background, its a start to get himself on his feet. If there is one thing I do not have a clue about, its cars so again any help would be much appreciated.

    I believe right now hes looking at a 1997 Altima. Any reviews on this one?

    If he can get a '97 Altima for $1,000, that's a sweet deal. But I would get a CarFax report to find out vehicle history.

    According to the above search (I just picked 77040), the cheapest I can get is $3795.

    From the above link, the cheapest I was able to get a 1997 Altima was for $2995.

    Thanks. I found it cheap as well so my immediate thought was 'Whats wrong with it?' but like I said, I have no clue about cars to know what to look for.

    Carfax and take it to a mechanic to make sure everything is good.
