Help! Laptop display problem.

I just bought a HP lap top DV6325US.
When it boots up, it has either a vertical yellow or pink line about 1/2" thick on the display. The line disappears once the machine finishes booting up.
Is this a symptom of something bad later on? Do I need to try to get it fixed early rather than later?

Could be a bad cable connection or the monitor going out. I would just take it back.
