    Alright guys...

After being away for a few months, I am now back in hot and humid Houston for a couple days and I need some help...

I have from now until tomorrow evening at around 6ish to find some Texas/Houston souvenirs for my roommates back in Orlando. I'm talking the tackiest/trashiest Houston/Texas clothing/souvenirs in the Greater Houston area!

I've already been to Academy and purchased a "Don't Mess With Texas" t-shirt and a Texans hat for my Jags fan roommate, but I still need some more items. I remember back in the day there being a strictly Texas souvie store at some mall, but I can't remember which mall or even if the place still exists.

So I am calling on all of you to help a brotha out...

Are there any good stores that sell tacky Texas merchandise!?!?!?

    Hi BGM!

Hope Orlando is treating you well.

You should be able to find some gawdy refrigerator magnets. How much worse can it get? I don't think they make a longhorn chia-pet.

Hey BGM...can't help you out on Texans merchandise, but I know there's plenty of tacky tourist palces along US 192 that can suit just about every other need for tacky and touristy stuff.

Heck, there's even a sports store somewhere in tourist alley. Maybe they'd have something!

At the downtown Spec's, you can pick up what IMHO has to be among the tackiest 'Texas' type things.

For a delightful snack, they offer

    Texas Armadillo Droppings!

Chocolate covered Pecan Pralines. They taste good but, as Austin Powers might say, "They're a bit nutty."

Also, you can pick up that truly obnoxious "Ya'll might give a thought to thanking your lucky stars you're in Texas" shirt from Goode & Company BBQ on Kirby and they have some sort of Texas store right next door where you can pick up this delightfull natural 'bull sack' made from... er... well... I bet you can figure it out:
