i graduated high school in 2000.
i went to UT provisional and didnt get in.
so i went to Austin community college for two years.
i applied to St Edwards and got accepted..
but two days before i was supposed to go i turned in a UT transcript that i had forgotten to turn in when i applied. i also forgot to mention i went to UT provisional.
    really dumb mistake.
they said i had lied on my application and they withdrew me.
so i had to apply to HCC at the last minute and live with my parents in houston.
i applied to sam houston state for the spring.
today they notified me that im accepted..
im 21 i live with my parents..and i work at a restaurant in river oaks..
im pretty happy...but i dont like the fact i live at home...
i would like to move out...and now i have the oppurtunity..itll just be in huntsville where ill have to find another job and meet new people...
so if you were me..would you stay at home for one more semester, work, and drink beer every night....
or would you go off to sam houston state university...and see what happens there...
i know its all personal preference, but what would you do...
    im kind of happy here...

Based on this I say staying where you are would not be a bad choice. I had a little trouble following, but would you be going to school locally or just working at the restaurant. You could always reapply to many places after a semester, and if things are going well, there really shouldn't be any hurry to change. If you think you would be going to Sam Houston anyway, then I would go, but otherwise, just hang around for a semester.

Seriously, though, I guess I would advise you to stay at home. You sound like you would be happier there.

Stay at Home. You'll be done soon enough. No rush to get out on your own and screw it all up. You've got a lifetime for that. Look into UH, too.

Maybe one day Holden :( will be Holden :). btw, drinking a lot if you're down is a bad idea. I know.

Come visit UH dance club on Sundays 4-7 starting 3rd week Jan. You are the target age and a student. (you don't have to be a UH student) It's dirt cheap and there's some pretty asian and russian girls your age.

    Dude,

You don't have to disclose everything when applying to a college.

They don't share transcripts with every college in the country.

Sheesh, I would have just left those out.

SAM SHAM...go to SWT, more babes then you can shake a stick at, and a river goes through the middle of campus, not to mention you are less then 25 minutes from 6th Street.

SouthWest Texas State is a great time, and a good education.

Trust me, it does not matter where you go to college, just go, learn, and have fun.

I assume you are eventually goin to transfer to a 4 year institution so if SHSU is where you want your degree from, I'd say go now.

I'd go SHSU cause SWT is full of UT posers :D
