I have a new job...which requires pounding my feet which have no arches, but heel spurs the size of the grand tetons (or Lindsey Lohans tetons whichever is larger) under my 300+ pounds on a concrete covered by the thinnest layer of carpet humanly possible all day.

Tonight I pulled something in my upper foot from the way I was walking to favor my feet...and I had to crawl back from my bathroom to my bedroom.

Should I....seek medical attention (which I can probably not afford..)...

Get some orthotics...which I might be able to marginally afford.

Nut it up and take the pain like a man.

Take 2 vicodin with half a bottle of Yukon jack and hope tommorrow is better.

Not trying to be an ass here but maybe if you lost some of that 300+ lbs you wouldnt have so many problems with your feet.

As for the spurs, they dont get better. Go see a doctor.

Orthotics worked like a charm for me. Nothing else worked. They are worth the several hundred bucks. Go to a podiatrist. There are also exercises you can do. Not that effective for me, but I do the stretches if I'm trying to do much walking on consecutive days.

There is even some sort of device that you put on your foot and ankle while you sleep. Never tried it.

I can vouch for othotics, at least in my case.

If you are young, try to get a sit down job. With flat feet and if your weight stays anywhere near 300 #'s, you proably don't have much of a future with stand-up work.

If it's your job, you'll have to find something to improve the situation. Just gutting out pain in your feet isn't going to work. Take some other route.
