They are doing the ceremony on TNT right now and i just noticed that Wayne Simeon and a couple other rookies got announced and got rings. What did they have to do with the championship team last year? Am i missing something?

I thought he was drafted this season....guess that answers my question. Guess i was thrown off by Earl Barron, and Dorell Wright as well. So i was like who the hell were these guys.

On a side note. Did you see the size of the damn ring? They make the Rockets rings look like costume jewelry.

yahoo sports nba page had pictures of the rings and they are freaking huge and sweet.

nothing tops the superbowl rings though. sb rings can literally blind a person from all the bling on it

I just read an article and Riley said they went way over budget on the rings for the team. That they got to get something they all liked and everyone else part of the organization got a different type of ring.

thats lame i think everyone in the organization should get the same type of ring. i guess it stays true with his 15 strong deal which i hated and still hate cuz i find it annoying. i didnt know teams had budgets for their rings. its nice that they were willing to over spend since it was their first (and possibly only) ring

I'm sure Riley already sent his copyright paperwork for 15 strong...like he did with three-peat to make all the money he needs.

funny seeing how he never accomplished the three-peat. i wouldnt be surprised if he did and also that cauldron or whatever they had with the cards in them. but i dont tihnk 15 strong is going to be catching on anytime soon...WBPS on the other hand

It was Riles, when the Lakers won back to back. At the victory parade/ceremony is when he coined Three Peat.

They know that last year's team was arguably the worst NBA champ in the past decade and there is no way they'll repeat, so they ordered an extra large ring to compensate for it...
