Has anybody tried getting notebook replacement parts?

    They seem to be charging an arm and a leg for these things. My 3 yo HP started falling apart and here are the prices of the replacements:

    70 dollars for a charger
    200 dollars for a new battery
    50 dollars for the speakers

    WTF?

    You can buy all those parts for a fraction of the price on Ebay.

    Ebay is the way to go, for sure.

    But I can tell you from experience: low-end HP Laptops don't last.
