In an attempt to knock down as many war threads as possible, I would like to share a funny thing that happened to me the other day. I was driving over to my parents house and I just could not take it anymore. I HAD to pull over somewhere to pee. (I really don't like pulling into a restaurant and using the restroom without buying anything, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.) I spotted a Wendy's, went in, and took care of business. Now on my way back out the door, members of Wendy's crew yelled out to me "Bye, Thank You!!!". I stopped in my tracks, somewhat confused and amused. I thought "Wow, this is the very first time in my life I have ever been thanked for taking a leak!" I wanted to say something, but not wanting to ruin the moment, didn't. I just regained myself and left. Needless to say, that put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. And the rest of my day was super.
That's good customer service? I think they were just letting you know that you just used their restaurant just to take a leak.
actually, that's just them giving you an 'exit gesture' customer service would've have been an employee coming in to zip you up, wash and dry your hands, get the door and escort you out, now THAT'S customer service!
I agree with Free Agent. They way you described it, it sounds like they were being sarcastic. Maybe not though, those employees probably don't give a shizznit whether you buy something or not. It's not some mom and pop place where the owner is there watching over his business. Those employees probably just view you as somebody they don't have to bother with helping or fixing your order.
