Going to Austin Feb. 4 to meet with State Representatives.

    We are scheduled to meet with Mike Jackson and Ken Legler so far. We will probably have the time to meet several other reps as well.

    This is for Student Government Assoc. We are going to support more state funding for community and junior colleges.

    I am going as part of The VYNE a student ran Christian outreach club that meets at San Jac Central.

    We will have the opportunity to ask questions. I was wondering if there were any questions you guys would like to have asked?

    Anything except, If you were a tree, what kind would you be, will be noted.

    I'd like to know if they are aware that there is a state holiday called Confederate Heroes day and that this day coincided with Martin Luther King day this year. As a Texan it disgusts me that my state officially recognizes any Confederate "Heroes" and I'd like to know, since we're no longer living in the 50's, if they support repealing this disgrace of a holiday.

    Can you ask them why my property tax rose even though home values fell? Or I guess maybe thats a question for the tax assessor
