http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic...-kerr-quits-phoenix-suns-general-manager.html If Sarver doesn't want to pay Kerr what makes you think he'll pay Amar'e?
Could also indicate that he doesn't want to be the fall guy when Amare walks, the Suns become terrible, and Nash demands to be traded.
http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA Kerr departure could have dramatically negative impact on ability to re-sign Amar'e, sources say. Suns star had gained strong belief in him.
I think Kerr leaving is more to do with Sarver not investing in team salary than Sarver not wanting to pay Kerr. Kerr has made some interesting moves the past few years that had more to do with Sarver demanding lower player salaries than with producing a winning basketball program. If the Suns had kept all their draft picks over the past 6 years, they probably would have made at least 1 final. I don't blame him for leaving. They got lucky and made the WCF this year, but I don't think the ceiling is as high next year. Sarver either won't pay Amar'e or will skimp on role players if he invests heavily in Stoudemire.
The only thing I'll ever remember about Steve Kerr is that he squeled like a friggin school girl who just saw Justin Biber when T-Mac hit the last 3 during "13 in 35". Feck steve kerr and anyone who looks like steve kerr...
Trial and error. It never fully worked. He just tinkered with it and I commend him for taking the risk to try and improve it. At least he was smart enough to fix it back to what it was before.
Maybe this comes too much of a co-incidence that Charles Barkley announced that he wanted to become an NBA GM.....Barkley Back to Phoenix? Interesting...
LOL it wasn't his fault Sarver always wants to save money. Excluding that horrible Kurt Thomas for two draftpicks and the other money scrimping moves that Sarver demanded Kerr seemed to do a lot of good trades for PHX: 1. Drafting Dragic and Robin Lopez were wins. 2. Signing Frye was a win. 3. Trading for Jared Dudley and Jason Richardson was also a win. All of these moves were really good and much better than clowns like Ferry's short-term all-or-nothing moves. I'd say for a rookie GM he did a pretty good job, and PHX would have been in a great position if their owner wasn't focused on the $$$. A solid B+ for me. Cavs should hire him instead.
