True legend made offenses a round the players he had on the roster. Took the talent he had and blended them into the league’s top 5 offensively wherever he was. Turned players like Lee into an all stars. He is an amazing coach.

Well deserved, whilst I do think by the end of the run here we'd min/maxed Harden and the roster to the point he had nothing left in the tank to throw out there trying to solve the Warriors, he definitely revolutionised the game and how offense is played. Whilst I've cooled a bit on Morey's overall ability in the years since, I think it's hard to deny how impactful and great the trio of Morey/Mike/Beard working in concert really was. Overachieving doesn't even cover it when you look at some of the squads we were rolling out against GS and still being legit competitors against them in a time where only an all-time great top 2 player was the only other person who actually could.

Well deserved! When he came to Houston, I thought he only played certain style but the way he tweaked offense with Harden and surrounding players at various iterations made it clear that he really maximized potential of the team on the offensive end and that is what made him offensive genius.

    Random thought…

Look at the way MDA handled Harden here for years. Took him to personal heights he hadn’t seen since. We had the pleasure of seeing historic coaching more than just Harden himself. Some say coaching doesn’t matter but I disagree. MDA you are HOF worthy just from your time here in Houston.
