I was playing some 21 and this one dude just slaps my hand cutting it and then runs away with the ball. I was pissed, but didn't want to start anything so I just yelled at him. I try to play defense, but I wasn't really trying hard. When playing 21 what is ettiquette?

there's no fouling in 21, but if it's a hard/obvious foul the player who got fouled should get the ball back. In other words, touch fouls you should let go....if you were slapped on the hand/arm and it forced you to lose the ball, the guy shouldve given you the ball back. Thats what i wouldve done....It sucks when you're playing with idiots who actually foul on purpose....Basically, I play 21 with regular streetball or pickup game rules, cuz when people start fouling on purpose, thats when stuff gets out of hand

My friends and I used to play full-contact 21. That should be amongst friends and determined ahead of time. Because getting close-lined on a drive sucks.

Theres an unwritten rule that says if you're playing a pickup game you don't call a foul unless its obvious, which in that case the person who fouled you should acknowledge it and give you the ball back. If he does not, just let it go once but tell him if he does that again he better call it. If he does it again, take the ball back.

If he does it again, punch him in the nads... take ball, go home, etc, etc.

If the entire neighborhood can hear the HACK, he should have given you the ball. You may call "ball, please", then show the blood (remember the 'no blood, no foul' call?), or "foul"... then ask for the ball politely. If he argues, show him the mark on your arm. No one should leave marks on no one.

Dang it... I always thought it was, since everyone calls him "Deke." :( I stand corrected.

And, Air Langhi, ALWAYS play tough SwoLy-Defense. That was why we selected Robert Horry... Rudy T said he never gave up on D.

If it's an obvious foul, he should give it to you. If he doesn't, ask for it. If he still doesn't give it to you...well...smack him across the face on his next layup and see how he feels about the "no fouls" rule.

Then fight him for an increased sense of manhood, but only if he's much smaller than you are.
