    I've been noticing this for about five years now with on and off job searches. Is there an abnormal amount of hot female recruiters. If so is there a reason for this. Sometimes is so freakin distracting when you meet them at their office.

    Is this just me?

    HR and recruiting as an industry is dominated by women, so the fact that a subset of those women are hot is not surprising.

    It makes sense to me. Recruiters have to interact with companies a lot. Being attractive will help.

    Be careful with recruiters, though. They don't work for you.

    I deal with a lot of recruiters here at work and yes, a great number of them are hot. Not all, but more than there are in the general population. Even those that are sent out that are not full time recruiters are on the more attractive side. The same is true for the guy recruiters (or so my female students tell me).

    It got so bad that one company even sent out stand up mini-card board cut outs of a picture of their recruiter that said "Meet Julie" or whatever her name was. Eye Candy to bring in the smart people.

    It was worse during the dotcom boom when companies would hand out contracts, tickets to ball games, etc. just because recruiters and account managers were hot. It's been going on for a lot longer than 5 years. :D

    This is like "The Hot Waitress Index". As restaurants lose business during recessions, they hire hotter waitresses to drum up more business. It keeps knuckleheads coming back. :D
