I just went into the brand new HEB on 45 in League City, and this store is NICE! It's the first place in town where I've seen USDA Prime (yes Prime!) Rib eyes, Rib eye roasts, tenderloin, tenderloin (filet mignon) steaks, NY strips, T-bones, and Porterhouses. Even Central Market doesn't have that big of a selection of Prime meats. I also picked up a couple of Veal Shanks for $6.59 a pound--about half the price that Central Market or Rice Epicurean charges. They've got some wonderful fresh baked breads, an excellent seafood market where I saw live littleneck clams (and lots of other stuff), and of course, a great produce section. My belief that there are a lot of hot MILFs in League City was reinforced as well.
I'm always looking for good grocery stores -- it's been my fixation since I stopped hoarding quarters for the laundry machines -- but League City, unfortunately, is in BFE.
