    Haven't seen this posted anywhere, but today is the official release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children DVD movie. The movie's been out for quite a while, but the official US version hits shelves today. It's currently #1 on Amazon's DVD best sellers list.

    It's a shame this movie wasn't released in theatres. This is the Final Fantasy movie that should've been instead of Spirits Within. The story may seem a bit convoluted if you're not familiar with the plot of the game, since there is not much character development. But the action scenes alone should be well worth it, think Matrix x Crouching Tiger multiplied by a million. The CGI animation is also incredible, some of the most realistic hair animations ever, and the facial emotions also really stood out. Fans of the original Final Fantasy 7 game will be completely satisfied.

    I actually didn't like the movie all that much, but I'm gonna buy it anyway, just out of principle... just like I DIDN'T buy Spirits Within out of principle. :p

    I saw the whole movie (with English subtitles) on Youtube. Freaking awesome. I'm totally buying the U.S. version. It'll look nice on my DVD shelf next to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. :)
