If you go read the article it actually doesn't sound bad. It sounds like, basically, if you have a nude photo that you believe an ex would try to upload to Facebook, you send the photo to yourself in Facebook Messenger and then promptly report the image. That puts it in their database as something to block in the future. I guess it is up to the people that have the potential of this happening as to whether or not they prefer the idea of Facebook IT guys having potential access to this picture as an alternative to potentially thousands of people seeing it if it gets uploaded by others.

 

Yep, sending nudes of yourself “doesn’t sound bad”, when you first do it. We just need to upload again and preemptively report it.

Facebook won’t solve all revenge p*rn though. Offenders will just use another site. What we need is every social media site to implement a report feature, so we can upload ours nudes everywhere.

Or maybe a consumer protection watchdog govt site where we can upload and report our nudes all in one place.

And for guys like Sean Connery, uploading nudes everywhere to report them, gives us a Steve Kerr iPhone 10 excuse for doing it wrong and going Live instead.

To submit your nudes to Facebook on your iPhone, all you have to do is go into your Photos app, find your nudes, hit the share button then select Facebook. In the comment section type “These nudes of me are genuine” then hit submit.

This will keep you safe.

 

Can't facebook just block all nudes?
