I'm good at Excel, but not very good at charting in Excel. Hoping someone here can help me out.

I have a series of dates (x axis) and cumulative cash flows (y axis), both of which are dynamic. I want to put a vertical line at the end of the calendar year, wherever that happens to fall, so you can easily see where cash flows are at as of year-end. How would I do that?

Add a trendline? Or flip the chart so that the axis is on the end?

    Nevermind. I got nothing.

I'm just so bored today I am on a posting frenzy.

Cheaters way is to add an autoshape vertical line. No one will know.

I think those are both good options. You can set up minor and major gridlines, but dates tend to format to each month not just 1 for end of the year.
