    Ric Bucher
They're as inconsistent as young teams will be while battling through a lot of early injuries. You'd like to see the Rockets' development happen faster, but Rudy T's touch with players is hard to question.
    B

    Fred Carter
If they can get the guards to involve Yao in the offense a little more, the Rockets could be a B+ team.
    C+

    Dr. Jack Ramsay
They need consistency from big forward in Eddie Griffin and Mo Taylor. They're playoff-bound.
    B

    Marc Stein
Yao is already a feared NBA center. Steve Francis is scaring folks more than ever, too, to make you wonder what Houston can be if it develops a dependable power forward.
    B-

    Bill Walton
Please find some forwards and a more complex/diverse offensive scheme. Please, somebody call Barkley and Drexler.
    B+

    Grade Point Average: 2.9 B-

i just wonder how people can read comments like this (especially walton's) and still not question rudy's offensive scheme. in fact, i find rudy's scheme to be quite offensive.

    Funny.

Bucher - Just give them more time!
Carter - Guards on crack. GET YAO THE DAMN BALL!
    Ramsey - need a PF
    Stein - PF
Walton - Forwards, Get Riddy Ruddy.

Sounds just like a typical day here.

    Nice observation :)

I agree with Bucher. This team isn't gonna win championships right now so don't go around trading any of the "core" players (Yao, Steve, Cat, Griff) and let them get a little playoff taste. IMO, the key is really Griff's development.

ITs not like Rudy's offense has ever been complex or diverse. Even when Barkley and Drexler was here.

Based on expectations...that's why the Lakers get a D+ but the Nuggets get a C+.

Very different team, and Barkley and Drexler didn't win championships. But you are right, even when they did, they were pretty simple. But I must say this, with the zone, Rudy is going to have to be a little more creative.

I agree 100% with all of their comments about the Rockets.

But did you notice that Walton didn't give anyone an A ? C'mon! I'm no Dallas fan, but let's face it - they definitely deserve an A.

I thought Cato was doing a fine job as a super energy backup. If he wasn't you would think Collier would be seeing PT.

....Zone needs to be gone. Get rid of it. And the rockets will rule.

Good comments. Rudy needs to come up with some new stuff, have a group meeting or something with others, to write plays..

Well...at least the Rockets beat the Pacers and the Kings. :) One time is good enough.

That's true. We need a good power forward. I think we deserved that score. We were inconsistent but also not terrible. We will make the playoffs!

Interestingly Rudy HATES Zone defense. You know what that means? It either means Zones defense force makes him think of plays to design, it forces him to actually "coach"; or maybe it means he really REALLY likes ISO. (he even said it in this weeks radio show).

All they said are very true. Our offensive scheme simply need to be more complex/diverse, involve our big guys more, be executed better and more consistently.
