Nov 15 2003 We had a great game this last Friday against the Phoenix Suns, even though it got a little bit tiring for everyone towards the end. We were not shooting very well, but our defense helped us grab the win. We are ready to go on the road for the next couple weeks to take on the Raptors, 76ers, and Trailblazers, and Clippers. Nov 6 2003 We're off to a good start. 3-1 isn't bad. But we expect to continue to improve. I'm starting to feel really comfortable with my game and my role on the team. Coach Van Gundy wants me to be more agressive, and his advice gives me a lot of confidence. I was used to being more agressive in China. But although I'm not a rookie anymore, I am still getting used to the team and playing in the NBA. I think with more time, I will definitely become the player that the coach and the team expects me to be. Oct 31 2003 Yesterday, we had an exciting game, winning the Denver Nuggets in our home opener. Now that I have a year of experience in the NBA, I have a better feel for the game and can get into the rhythm of it better. Overall I think I played well, but I had too many fouls and not enough rebounds. I'm always happy to win. We are just hoping we can do in the new arena what the older generation did in the Compaq Center. Scoring the first couple points in the home opener was very special to me. When I'm playing in Shanghai, it's like I'm playing at home, and it's beginning to feel like that here. Oct 24 2003 Although we had some early trouble with our new offense, we are beginning to adjust well. We've won three in a row, and our offense is begging to flow. I think the preseason is always an important adjustment period, especially for us this year. I think we are starting to gear up for a great NBA season.
