Empire State Building And Penn Station being evacuated

    Fox News is reporting that police are clearing them out under new warnings.

    NBC News (Stone Phillips) said a suspicious package in the Empire State Building was given a "positive" signal for a bomb by one of the bomb squad dogs. The Bomb Squad is supposed to be on its way in to check it out.

    CNN just reported the building is all clear..... better safe than sorry. Glad they cleared the area...

    I had heard that the entire bomb squad was killed/missing in the collapse of WTC. Perhaps this was a bomb squad from another area?

    Something like that happened on a flight from LA to Sydney. A kid was playing a hand-held electronic game, and the words "MISSION FAILED" appeard on the screen. Apparently, the person sitting next to him freaked and told one of the flight attendants. The plane landed in Brisbane, and was evacuated.

    I'm trying to figure out why they kept the entire bomb squad in one area. If you know a nut is going to kill innocent people, and want to get the bomb squad out of the way, why make it unbelievably easy for them!?
