not sure if anybody here saw this.

Fastbreaks. The New Jersey Nets apparently will reach a contract settlement with former Roman Catholic High star Eddie Griffin. Griffin, who was signed on Jan. 8 for $395,000, will be bought out for about $125,000, according to reports. Griffin, who faces felony assault charges in Houston, is spending time there at a rehabilitation center operated by John Lucas, the former player and 76ers coach.

Now, somebody can arrest Eddie for stealing money from NBA teams...

Guess we'll be waiting a little bit longer for Eddie to show Rockets fans what we're missing by not picking up his option year....

I doubt he'll be a loser forever. He sure does suck in every way now but I doubt he'll throw it all away when someday he'll realize he's lucky to have the potential to be a good NBA player while he's still got some youth.

Still, the Nets were dumb and evil for trying to pull that crap.

I have no clue what will become of EG. What a pity.

NJ's action makes me wonder if there may be a heckuva lot of closet rattlers in EG's life.

Leon Smith had more potential than Eddie. Where is he now? Rehab or NDL?
