I have many old jeans that just don't fit anymore. Well, I guess they would if I could get back down to my old, slim, pre-married self but that ain't gonna happen. I'd rather sell them than just give them away. Most are in pretty good shape. Many just shrunk in the wash and don't fit. Are there places in Houston that would buy them? I'm not an ebay person so I don't know about that route.
Teenagers pay 75 bucks for jeans that look as bad as my old worn out jeans that my parents paid 20 bucks for when I was a kid. If I would have kept those bad boys, I'd have made some serious cash...
I know some organization or possibly many send used jeans to other countries... I guess for the poor... or to the suckers that don't know any better. Hmm...
Yeah, it is funny as hell. The "thrift store" look is in. Go to the mall and spend big money to look like you shop at thrift stores... IDIOTS.
I would be giving to the less fortunate...ME and my Apple G5 purchase fund. Seriously, I have given away many, many clothes to Goodwill and the Salvation Army over the years. Now it's my turn to get paid.
My new line of jeans 1. Water logged - The Wet look up to the knees 2. Snow Storm - White Jeans that fade to blue at the top, with white speckles. 3. Rusted - Jeans with rusty edged hole in the leg or ass. 4. Paper Angels - Near the ankle the jeans will look like paper angels were cut out of them 5. Chew Toy - Near the ankles it will look like a dog started ripping your jeans apart. 6. Branded - Jeans with Giant Logos branded into them such that the letters were too big to be seen. 7. Charred - Jeans with burn marks 8. Skids - Jeans with skid marks from various vehicles imprinted on them 9. Beer Can - Jeans with a beer label wrapped around the thigh. That way you can buy a girl her favorite drink. 10. Folds - Jeans that have fold marks running arcoss them and that have flap that you can lift up to reveal skin.
Don't forget the "bladder control problem" jeans - a nice pee stain right on the crotch. The "sweaty butt-crack" look could be a big seller too.
Faos- Take them and your other clothes to Buffalo Exchange on Westheimer. They should be able to give you a good amount for them. I buy most of my vintage clothes at these types of stores.... Even if they are new they will prolly take them. D
Yep. They will sort through your digs to see what they like and dont - Sometimes they will take all, sometimes a few, and sometimes they wont take any. You can take a store credit (usually more) or get cold hard cash. Alot of it depends on inventory and the season. Right now they would probably take jackets, long sleeved shirts, scarfs, etc. They will always take stylish jeans (Levis, Banana Republic, JCrew), hats, and vintage t-shirts. Also, if Buffalo Exchange doesnt take certain items you have, try Leopard Lounge and Taxi Taxi across the street. Good luck. Let us know how it goes......
Great tip. I found their web site: http://www.buffaloexchange.com It seems like a good concept. I can't believe I've never heard of the place. I'll be sure to let you know how it went.
