...That Danny Crawfords crew didn't seem to see the foul calls against Yao the same as other officiating crews. I've been watching my recording of the game since last night and I saw SEVERAL no calls against Yao that surely would have been calls with other crews. Is Yao starting to get the respect or do you think the league has seen the games as we have and made the officials make these adjustments.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes Yao does commit some dumb fouls, but I'd wager that 30% of the calls against Yao are not consistant with other elite players.

Well Walton said it best, when Yao plays aggressively he is rewarded, when he doesn't, fouls up the wazooo. Yao was incredibly aggressive last nite, maybe it just took getting a few good calls to get him there...:D But I would have to agree with you, Yao seems like he is finally getting some respect.

Yao was also VERY careful about not getting fouls. There was a point in the second half when he thought he had fouled, and looked at the ref. The ref told him that there wasn't a foul, and Yao looked tremendously releaved.

I think this may cost us some defense, but in the long run of Yao's career, he will adjust and learn how to play defense better.
