Derrick Rose will sit out NBA All-Star Skill Competition

    DALLAS—Bulls guard Derrick Rose will not defend his title in the NBA skills competition tonight. He has pulled out due to his bruised right hip.

    Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook will replace Rose in the 2010 Taco Bell Skills Challenge (7 p.m., TNT), part of tonight's NBA All-Star Saturday Night at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

    Rose is still expected to play in tomorrow night's All-Star Game.
