    Eyewitnesses were quoted saying the 73-year-old Hopper was brought into the E.R. wearing an oxygen mask.

    On September 30, 2009, news media reported that actor Dennis Hopper has been rushed to a New York hospital for an unspecified condition, according to a report from Entertainment Tonight. Hopper, 73, was reportedly brought into an unidentified Manhattan hospital by an ambulance Monday wearing an oxygen mask and “with numerous tubes visible.”

    History of drug and alcohol abuse - check
    Cigarettes - check
    Not keeping weight down - check

    Yet in spite of all this, he made it to 73, which is only 4 or 5 years below the average mortality rate. Not a bad run, not at all. Maybe he'll squeeze out a couple of years and make the average, which would be amazing all things considered.
