I've had nephews live with me for a while. They were ok and I was nice to them but I never found anything positive about having them around. They cost me money, added more work to my life and cut down on my free time. I understand if the emotional reward people get from that is worth the costs. It just isn't too me.

My girlfriend has kids and I get along with them just fine. We have things worked out pretty well here overall but that still doesn't change my opinion of kids in general. I would rather not have any in my life and definitely not the younger ones. Of course, the fact that she has kids lets me off the hook in that she doesn't want any more.

I had no idea people were going to freak or I would not have said it. For the record, I don't want kids but it doesn't mean I don't treat the ones I'm around kindly or that I wouldn't take full responsibility if I became a father. I just can't imagine ever WANTING that responsibility. Then again, I have and always will have dogs and I'm sure plenty of people here don't understand that. I'm cool with that. I'm not going to freak out online about it.

I am a bitter b*stard for sure. "Great qualities" is very subjective, however. I don't usually see the "cute" things kids do as cute. I just see an undeveloped human being doing things that adults don't usually do.

Excellent point. Different strokes for different folks. What's funny is that all of the sudden I have a different opinion than most about kids and otherwise reasonable posters flip out about it. Some people took what I said way to personally which is funny considering we are in the freaking hangout.

D-Wade is the best of the superstars, he's really classy and doesn't have a massive ego...Good for him

Another example of the bias in the divorce system towards women, but I'll save that for another time.

Who names their kids Zion and Zaire?
