    Reports: 'CSI' Actors Fox, Eads Fired


    LOS ANGELES (AP)
    Two stars of the CBS hit television series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" were fired for breach of contract, KCBS-TV and Variety reported Thursday. Actors Jorja Fox and George Eads, who play investigators Sara Sidle and Nick Stokes, were fired after asking for more money to stay on the show, according to the reports.Reports: 'CSI' Actors Fox, Eads Fired

    I think a bigger concern of the CSI franchise is the fact that they are making so many spinoffs. Did I hear CSI:New York is next? This may overexpose it and eventually implode ala Who wants to be a millionaire. Then again Law and Order has a bunch of variations out there and still seem to be going strong.

    I've only seen a few CSI eps. It was good, but I'm not big on dramas. I've seen more of CSI: Miami, also good, but again, dramas have never been my preference when it comes to network tv. I may try to get into CSI: New York, which should be CSU shouldn't it? Actually, aren't they all called CSUs?

    never watched the regular CSI; but saw about 10 minutes of CSI Miami and thought David Carusso looked about as phoney as you could get.

    I think i'll at least check out CSI New York because of Gary Sinese

    In the CSI Miami/New York crossover, you see a huge difference. Caruso's character wears these expensive suits and drives a Hummer H2, an official police one. I'm sure the Police would use such a gas guzzling machine. When we see Sinise, he looks real. He's got on slacks and a shirt and tie that looks like it came from K-Mart and he's wearing a CSI jacket. He also drives a regular polic car. I'm sure it will be better.

    The core three are intact i don't think these two will hurt it much

    The main CSI is the best
    the lead actor in the main one . .. CANNOT STAND the others
    he is so pissed they have spinoffs at all
    [he also cocreated it.]

    The show can survive without George Eads and Jorja Fox, and I'm sure Jorja Fox will land on another show in no time (she's already had featured roles on such hit shows at er and [/i]The West Wing[/i].

    But I'm sure it sucks to get fired.

    Eads is a Dallasite and Texas Tech grad, by the way.

    Is an H2 any more gas guzzling that the Tahoes they use on CSI? Or the Tahoes soem sheriff's departments here in Texas use?

    This is TV folks, have no fear Jorja will be replaced by equal eye-candy. She probably demanded something like meaningful storylines. Eads...no one will notice, well maybe chicks.

    The H2 is far worse I believe. I've never seen a police Tahoe btw, and I don't watch much of the original CSI, so I don't even remember what they drive. Anyways, my point is that CSI NY is trying to be more realistic. Though, I'm pretty sure that nobody who works for a CSU is as heavily involved in actually finding and bringing the criminals in as we've seen in these shows.

    24 (FOX) - Executive producer Joel Surnow confirmed at FOX's session of the TCA's summer press tour that aside from Kiefer Sutherland, virtually the entire cast will not return for its fourth season in January 2005. The move means Dennis Haysbert, James Badge Dale, Elisha Cuthbert, Carlos Bernard and the rest of the cast won't likely make more than a few, if any, appearances as part of the new season. As for specifics (highlight to read), only Geoff Pierson, who played Palmer's Republican rival John Keeler, has been confirmed as returning. He'll take over as the President in the series' universe. In addition, Surnow also revealed Sutherland's Jack Bauer will no longer be working for CTU.

    C.S.I.: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CBS) - Reiko Aylesworth ("24") has signed on to join the cast of the veteran drama. She'll play a lab-based detective in the series when it returns for its fifth season this fall. Industry insiders say the move is unrelated to the recent firings of cast members George Eads and Jorja Fox. Additional details about her character are expected shortly.

    Those guys had a good thing and just lost their jobs...On one had, I have to commend them for standing up, but the gravy train just left the building...

    I like the Miami one better than the Vegas one...The main reason is that freakin' "Know it all"...the show will be fine without supporting cast...

    Also, when Miami CSI started it was with Kim Delaney, a main character, but its doing just fine without her...
