Thanks for all the kind words guys and for those of you that bought the CD, thank you very much! Have you ever been driving on one of the freeways and noticed out of the corner of your eye someone pointing a gun at you? Well even though it ends up being the cops with a radar gun, it still scared the hell out of me. How is it that cops can rationalize shooting someone that reaches in their pocket for a comb, but yet can sit in their cars, on top of their cars, and even on street corners and point these .44 magnum like radar guns at us? Aren't the powers that be smart enough to come up with some other shape for a device that tracks speeding. Maybe psychologically they are trying to impress upon us that speeding should be capital punishment? Some near-sighted, permit toting McCoy is inevitably gonna mistake a cop for a Hatfield, and fire off a round or two (of course he wouldn't hit him, because if either family could shoot they would all be dead now). What happens to that guy, is he arrested and jailed for some incredibly heinous mistake? -or- Is someone pointing an object that could be clearly mistaken as a gun, an affirmative defense to prosecution. That's what the blues would contend.
You treating ordinary people like the GODS . ..er .. . Cops They would be Drawn and Quartered then hung then set afire for every daring to take the life of a god .. . er. . Cop . .. Rocket river
Most of the time, I never see the cops with radar "guns" until I get right up on them. Is it legal for them to hide in trees? behind houses? Billboards? I thought they had to be in sight. I don't speed so I don't worry. The people that do, have no chance to slow down. Have you ever driven through a small town and get the feeling some corrupt cop is pointing a real gun at you instead of the radar?
some cops don't use guns anymore... they have detectors in the front and back of their cars, looks like a lightbulb in a black can... they just sit and wait... imagine this thing without the handle, cops have them mounted in the back window and on the dash... (this particular gun is used for baseball)
Usually the cruiser on the side of the road gives the officer away. Anytime I see a car the might be remotely a cop I immediately do a check to make sure im not breaking a law. Of course, I am watching him at the same time, so im not too terribly worried about him pointing a "gun" at me.
