I just saw it on CNN cable tv as well, immediately after they also added that a Daisy Cutter bomb was dropped recently, maybe up to 3 of 'em!
With all this bombing, what if they blow up or already have blown up Bin Laden with one of those suckers? Then what?

I heard some ex-CIA somethin or other special forces guy say that we should wrap bin Laden in pork cloth and bury him in an unmarked grave. Apparently according to Islam, this would prevent bin Laden from going to Allah.

 

Yah, I'm sure that that'd do wonders to make the wavering undecided come over to our side. What benefit would something like this have, other than satisfying our lust for revenge? Is the increased chance for retaliation from the arab/islamic world worth it to you?

Think about how felt when you saw the Somaili people dragging the dead bodies of American servicemen through the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia, Magnify that by 10x, and you have a pretty good idea how every Muslem that has thought a sympathetic thought for al-Qaeda will feel about the US.

 

Timing:

If a muslim dies with any part of a pig in his body, then he cannot go to heaven. Personally, I think all of our soldiers over there should be issued a can of spam...

But frankly, I really don't care - could not care less - what anyone who is sympathetic to Al Qaeda thinks. If they're sympathetic to Al Qaeda in the first place then they already hate our guts, and are not likely to change their opinion. These are the same people who will be calling the video released today a Mossad/CIA forgery... They're intractible in their hatred as it is, and nothing we do will change that. So I don't give a rat's a*s what they think.

 

I doubt if doing something like that to bin Laden would turn Muslims against the U.S. And the ones that are sympathetic to Al-Qaeda, who cares about them? If they still side with Al-Qaeda there is nothing we can do about it anyway. Besides most rational, clear thinking muslims don't consider bin Laden one since he has done so many things that go against the religion.

You can't be comparing a soldier to a murderer!? Especially when most people have realize what kind of a sick piece of garbage bin Laden is.

Opposition fights have said they have seen Osama bin Laden himself in the mountains and that the Al-Qaeda fighters are fighting like there is something to defend.

 

Part of what makes these terrorists so dangerous is that they really believe they will go to paradise if they do these horrible crimes. If wrapping them all in pork denies that in their eyes, then I don't see a problem with it. I don't think I would equate it with dragging dead bodies through town square.

Why? If you don't believe in Allah, then you obviously don't believe he's going to Allah ... so why waste your time ... and as said, piss of even more Arabs.

 

That's completely false. A person can't help what happens to him after his death. For instance, if a pious God-fearing man died and a piece of pig was put on his body, he wouldn't be kept out of heaven just for that. It's completely out of his control. Not even logical at all.

The only reason I'd do it would be to let him know that he wasn't going to heaven, which is why I wouldn't publicize it...

Then again, I don't really care what he thinks. I just want him dead. And I have a feeling it won't be long now...

 

I agree.....kinda reminds me of the witch scene in The Holy Grail for some strange reason.

 

I would think if you all actually had faith in your own beliefs, you wouldn't be worried about if OBL does or doesn't go to Heaven. Since when is it OUR job to decide who experiences what in the after-life? I'm sure God would appreciate us trying to decide who is worthy or not.

 

I wonder if God is kicking Allah's ass just as bad as we are kicking Bin Laden's.....

 

The more we play to the religious aspect of this dispute, the worse it is for the US. I think the administration has tried really hard in not trying to make this a battle against Islam. Bringing in elements of pork and such lends itself against those efforts. I don't believe the presence or absence of pork can keep his soul from going where I think it's going.

I said my first prayer for Osama today...it took me this long. Romans Ch. 12 says we are to pray for our enemies...but it needs to be sincere, I believe. It wasn't sincere until this morning. At the same time, the very next chapter of Romans talks about justice exacted through the rule of earthly governments. On this earth, I don't think Osama can escape that judgment.
