He says on ESPN that the regular refs could be in as early as next Sunday.

Good. Tired of hearing the talk about how bad these replacements are.

The NBA needs to learn from this. Lock out the officials, show the fans how terrible replacements are, and then fans will stop complaining about the regular officials when they are back. :)

I hope this is true. I read somewhere that the ref that called ruled the touchdown in the GB debacle couldn't even qualify to ref Div I college games. He's a ifetime Div III and high school ref. They've got to get these guys off the field immediately.

NBA is the worst officiated basketball in the world. I don't see how replacements would hurt the game. The NFL replacement refs brought officiating down to NBA playoff standards.

So this batch of refs reaps the rewards while all future refs get the shaft? They negotiated on their behalf instead of on the behalf of their group and it's future? Ha.

Probably won't see much of a change. The real refs suck just as bad but they are more confident in the mistakes they make which make them appear to be better.

I think through all this mess with the replacements people have forgotten how bad the regular refs are as well. Since they were out of sight out of mind it is easy to imagine that they wree far more proficient than they were.

A good deal of the screwups that the replacement refs had would have also been done by the regular refs, it's just that the regular refs wouldn't spend 10minutes discussing it before they made the wrong call.
