They have a limited housing market because it’s too expensive to build new homes
Most homes are old and most owners become landlords

Texas leads the nation in supplying new residents to other states

“The states with the largest out-migration numbers — California, Florida, Texas, and New York —
are also the states with the largest populations. That’s not a coincidence,” “Large populations
naturally generate large volumes of both in-and-out migrants.”

All this boasting about disgruntled Californians and New Yorkers moving to Texas has me thinking only one thought.

Be careful what you brag about. Your state with this supposed influx is going to turn Texas purple.
wouldn't that be a kick in the nads??

Isn’t the high cost of living deeply driven by their extremely strict building regulations? Too expensive to build with all the laws they have in place. Which they voted for and for some reason continue to vote for.
