My newphew and his mother have H1N1(blood test confirmed today after about 7 days of not knowing what they had).
Well my father in law has been taking care of my nephews, along with that nephew(H1N1)was over there.
This has happened the past 3 nights. Not too worried about myself, but my father in law and his mother in law are older and he just got over a serious, serious infection.
Not to mention the two newphews who are aged 1-3 always hang out with him and love on him when he is over(split custody).
I live with my father in law, my fiancee, and his wife.
What should we do? Seriously

It's the flu, its no big deal. Treat it like the normal flu. If they don't have another condition like pneumonia or something, they'll be fine.

I thought it was like a different strain that is more potent and has killed, old people ,young kids, Aids, etc.

no, it is part of the normal flu strain. I had it last week and was fine. If anything, I thought it was less severe than the normal flu, it just lasted a little longer. Like the normal flu, older people and young children need to take more caution, but it is not any more potent than the normal flu.

I think if you're born before the early 1960's then you have some natural immunity.

Anyway, based on what folks are saying, most of us will end getting some version of this regardless of the precautions we take. Probably better to get it now.
