That link is totally wrong. Says 100% of 77019 is dark. Wrong. Says 100% of 77008 is out. Wrong. Parts of each have had power for a while. I'm also hearing that not a single person anywhere near my apartment has power. As such, I'm pretty skeptical of their assessment that only 42% of 77006 (my zip) is out.

At least this page didn't take an hour to load before telling me absolutely nothing.

Yeah those numbers aren't anywhere close to being accurate.

If anyone else lives in the 77008 zip code (Timbergrove), I have some info which may apply to you:

I was on 18th street today near Ella. To the West of the subway are some power lines and there were some ATT and Centerpoint workers there. I stopped and asked them if they were working on my grid (the same grid as the.fire station on Seamist). The guy said, "No, that outage is being caused by a pole that's down further south and just a little West". He pointed down the trail of power lines and indicated where the downed pole was. He said that he had called it in, but didn't know if anyone was working on it.

I drove down to where he'd indicated (turned East onto Grovewood from Seamist). I did not see a downed pole, but I did see that a HUGE oak tree had been uprooted and had fallen onto the power lines. I feel pretty confident that this is the cause of the outage on my grid. There was a centerpoint truck there and a utility truck that had a long arm with a saw on the end. They were working on the tree.

I checked back again later at 7pm and the trucks were gone. I got a closer.look at the tree and, I gotta say, that tree is massive. I think it will be a while before they're able to get it cleared.

    Hope this helps.
