    DG: I sat down with him & his agent a few weeks back. There were several scenarios discussed. Not appropriate to get into the details. ... We talked about a wide range of possibilities. These things are fluid. He's one of the best guards in the NBA. We value his talent significantly.

    KA: He's a core piece of what we've done. ... We enjoy him as a player & we're gonna keep stuff in house. He continues to be a core piece of who we are & what we do. ... It's a fluid situation & something we won't address right now.

    Intend to trade him?

    KA: I don't want to talk about that. We've been in touch with his reps. It's a fluid situation.

    What happened with Chauncey?

    We talked. He's a great guy & a friend. We both agreed the timing was not right. Had nothing to do with the money. With everything going on, timing wasn't right.
