I know the Rockets have the lowest salary for 12-13. Do they have enough cap room to sign 2 max deals like Miami did in 2011 to try to get both Howard and C. Paul?

Not likely. Bima has written about this in the past, but it would basically take gutting the team completely, and hoping they take a little less than Max, if I remember correctly. On my phone right now so I can't find the Bima article.

When Miami did it, they had most of their contracts set to end that summer, and had a fire sale for anyone left over.

Edit- I don't believe the Lakers can sign and trade, but the Clippers should be able to.

    Are you talking about:

    Dwight Howard $20.5m
    Chris Paul $19m

The answer is yes if one is a S&T for Asik and Lin and a couple of others.
    Here's a breakdown of Houston's salaries...

    Have fun. :)
