I was just wondering if we could do this.

Indiana Trades: Artest, Pollard
Indiana Receives: Dampier (S&T), Nachbar, Weatherspoon

Houston Trades: TE, Nachbar, Weatherspoon, 1st round pick
Houston Receives: Artest, Pollard

Golden State Trades: Dampier
Golden State Receives: 1st Round Pick, TE

What do yall think?

I think GS would much rather get Artest for Dampier than a TE and a mid-twenties draft pick. If Indiana was willing to deal Artest for Dampier, they wouldn't need a middleman.

Indiana will not trade Artest for Dampier, period.

They've offered Croshere and Pollard. GS said no.
GS asked for Croshere & Bender. Indy said no.

They want Croshere for some odd reason, and if Indiana throws in a Fred Jones or a Jeff Foster, it might get done.

But they will not trade Artest for anything less than a lock for the all-star team.

I think I read on ESPN Insider than the pacers want Artest to be gone...that's why I made up a deal like this. But I guess they don't want to trade Artest after all.

They would be really dumb to trade Artest for Dampier because they weren't willing to include him in the trade for McGrady.
