    The E6750 - $195, yet the older model E6700 - $320?

Why is the older model much more expensive than the newer one? Is the new model not capable of huge OC speeds like the old one? By looking at the specs, the only difference I could see is the FSB speed.

    On fry's,
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6850 & ECS G31T-M Motherboard $288.99

    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6750 & Asus P5K Deluxe / WiFi-AP Motherboard $398.99

Does that make the E6850 a steal on Fry's for $290 when the CPU itself is $290?

I'm not sure whether I should jump on that deal or not. Does anyone know if the new Penryns will support DDR2? I purchased 4 gigs of DDR2 ram when they hit rock bottom and will be using it for my upcoming pC.

The new 1333MHz FSB CPUs will end in the number 50 (e.g. E6750), with the exception of the E6540 which is also a 1333MHz CPU. Although Intel isn't announcing pricing at this point, we don't expect the new 1333MHz FSB CPUs to cost any more than their predecessors; in other words, we expect the E6750 to carry the same price tag as the E6700 does.
