Buying a tv from Craigslist

make sure its not in the hood. that's all. i sell/buy stuff on craigslist all the time. have had no problems.

 

so...anybody every try hooking up with someone on craigslist?

I've sold many things in Craigslist (no, not my body) and it's worked out just fine. Email the guy/gal and see if you can come over and take a see and if you like it you'll buy it on the spot. That's what most people did with me. Plus if it's a gal, you might get some extra bonus

My garage house roommate bought a sweet hatchback Honda from Craigslist for cheap and it's working in tip top condition. I guess you just gotta try your luck.

it does say its "NEW". that's questionable, I only buy used stuff from craigslist.
make sure you test it.

thats true, the quality is near the same but Sony's are normally more expensive so most consider the Samsungs a better deal.

 

I like buying from Craigslist, because you can

#1) see if the seller is legit and not a scammer
#2) see if the product is actually working to your satisfaction
#3) save on shipping

 

I have that TV. I love it. The question is why are they selling it brand new and for so cheap ? But then again I bought a brand new in box ps3 40gig for $275 from craigslist and it was legit

 

One weird thing is if the tv comes with a 30 day money back guarantee why would the seller be willing to bite the bullet and lose $1500? Might want to have them clarify that.

 

Sony has excelled more on the high-end TVs like the XBRs, however Samsung's high end models are catching up. Their medium level tvs are better values than the Sony's.

 

True. I usually just give the girl my next door neighbor's apt # so when she comes I can take a peak to see if she's the same one from the picture before I invite her in...

 

Maybe they want you to come meet them to buy the t.v. so they can rob you!

I've sold a lot of stuff and craigslist and i'm almost always uncomfortable meeting up with the buyer, maybe because i'm a girl.

I've only bought books off craigslist, they worked good.

 

I sold my futon mattresses and a kitchen table on craigslist. I was also nervous - so I made sure someone was home with me when ppl came over to check it out.
