Haven't heard anything about having a BobFinn ClutchFans basketball league this year. Seems like the draft should start soon-ish if there's going to be one.
I emailed him the other day, but haven't heard back yet. Last year we started the draft on 10/18, so we should be getting this rolling soon. How about we start a league roll call? Who's in?
It's gonna be a Live draft like our footy league. 12 rounds, 2 minutes to make your pick. Once we figure out who will return and who won't, we will decide on a date and time to have the draft.
I'm there, need to rebound (a little b-ball reference) because my fantasy football team is struggling. Word of advice Finn, if your doing a live draft and using fanstar - goodluck! That was such a great experience for football - especially, for the commish. But I am definitely there....
Sam is first alternate. Rook, I thought it went well except for a few glitches (namely nwo ) We also found out that ranking players before the draft doesn't work (Jent) If someone is unable to make the draft, either have someone draft for them or send a list to one of us. This live draft will run much smoother. I GUARANTEE IT!!!! If you don't make your pick within the 2 minutes, tough luck, we skip you. You will be able to pick up a player on the waiver wire after the draft. There will be NO STOPPING of the clock.
That's harsh, man. There were times when the site literally froze during the draft and would not load. Are you saying that if that happens during your turn, you simply lose your pick forever?

Old age getting to our Bobo. Seriously, if it's gonna be "the site freezes and you're stuck with your pick", then I am definitely down with a slow live draft. After 4 years of doing it that way, I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. If it's fast live draft or nothing, then I will make my picks here and on the league site to make it official.
I like this tough **** approach. I'd like to play, and I should be able to do the draft as long as it will be getting over by 11 PM CST.
Obviously I want to return. Another thing to consider, I'm a little closer to Smeg time for the next couple of weeks because I'm on business in India. Something like next Sunday morning (houston time) would probably work best for me, because that would be Sunday evening here. Actually I guess that would be in the middle of the night for Smeg, so yeah, I'll leave it up to someone else to decide. Just so that you know, it's 10 1/2 hours later than Houston in India. DH
