Bob Barker Retiring After 50 Years on TV

    LOS ANGELES (AP)
Bob Barker is heading toward his last showcase, his final "Come on down." The silver-haired daytime-TV icon is retiring in June, he told The Associated Press Tuesday. "I will be 83 years old on December 12," he said, "and I've decided to retire while I'm still young."

    ++++++++

Greatest moment IMHO was on Happy Gilmore... hands down.

What was the best game on the show? Plinko?

    Bob Barker is still alive?!?!?!

j/k...my favorite Price is Right game has always been the one where you can be only so many dollars off the price of the items or that little mountain climber guy falls off the end. I always enjoyed that yodeling music.

One thing I've never seen in all times I've watched Price is Right is somebody win both showcases...

I've seen that happen once or twice. And I'll always remember one time that a person bid $1 on their showcase and ended up winning because the other person went over. It was the smoothest move I ever saw on the show.

That's the game I'm talking about.

And yes, I've seen someone win both showcases about 5 times (I used to watch everyday with my grandparents when I was about 5 :D ).

I guess he finally got tired of banging his models. Remember when both he and Dian admitted to having a sexual relationship? SEXY TIME!

Also, does it seem like they're giving away a car for every single game now? When I watched as a kid, a car was given out once, maybe twice a show. I think four cars is the norm, now.

The Price is Right is undisputably the greatest TV game show of all time. Bob Barker is the original pimp and about 60% of the show's success can be attributed solely to his smoothness.

Plinko is awesome and all, but how come nobody has mentioned the putting game? Barker used to own that ****.

I've seen a double showcase winner a couple of times. It always had the firehorn go off when it happened. Here's a good clip of two double showcase winners, unfortunately, much like the Highlander, there can be only one...

During the summer, I'd never miss it.

A good part of the show was when the WHEEL would turn, and I would hear all these people screaming: "DOLLLLLLLARRR!!!! DOLLLARRRR!!!!" and the sh*t would go OVER and all of them would go: "awww..."

Also, when the wheel would not "BEEP", everyone in the audience would go "beeep-beep-beep-beep-beep" for the wheel. :D

The best game on there was the HIGHER-or-LOWER... HIGHER... HIGHER... LOWER... LOWER... Wait, are we talking about a game, or what I did saturday night? :D

I think that ever since he found out The Price Is Right was gonna go High Definition, he said "OH, sh*t... people will get to see my MAKE UP and WRINKLES!!!"
Anyway, when I saw this photo above, the first thing that came to mind was:

HOLLY was the best model. DIAN would always send ME a kiss at the end of the show... that's when I had to run to the restroom  . pgabriel, you're right about Mrs. Parker from Friday.

No one linked the stupid woman who couldn't play that number descramble game right cause she either kept repeating the same number or didn't put down enough digits and won the car on her last attempt. Barker just sat down in disbelief.
