    Sweet!

I'm assuming everybody that has a membership in Blockbuster Online got the same email I did, but it's still a pretty good deal. Instead of mailing back the movies I watch from Blockbuster Online, I can exhange each one for a free movie rental at my local Blockbuster store. Plus, I still get a free in store rental each month.

I think I'll use my in store rentals for some older movies that I haven't seen yet...

yeah this is a pretty good move on their part... i'm not sure that this is going to get me going in to the stores though because most of the movies i watch aren't carried in the average store.

but this is cool cause its like getting more in store rental coupons.

Yeah, I miss the local video stores with good ole' p*rn sections, but when they all get put out of business by Blockbuster and Hollywood, there isn't much you can do, except move.

I'm still wondering exactly how it will work, whether a new movie will be sent to me right after I take the old one back to the store, or if I have to wait for Blockbuster to mail it back, which might take a little longer. Either way, I'll probably be getting about 10 rentals per month for ten bucks, which is even cheaper than the rental fees for VHS tapes back in the day...

It's called the "For The Love Of God, Please Come Back" plan.

i read in the dmn that when you take your movie back they scan the barcode and that removes it from your currently out queue.... but i think if you take one from the store then that one will be added to your queue, so you won't have one sent.

the 17.99/month which is 3 at a time... i average between 15-18 per month depending on how quickly i watch them... like you said cheaper than rental for VHS

I am pretty sure that they said when you rent one from the store it will not stop them from sending one from your queue. I think this is going to end up saving them money on postage. Instead of 1,000's of postage paid envelopes going the mail they can bundle them up and send them much cheaper per movie. So in this case the customer and the store both win.
