Now it's "unintentional" for his Obamacamp to slam the oppoistion...

Biden, in an interview that aired Tuesday on CBS Evening News, had criticized an ad the Obama campaign released earlier this month that highlighted McCain's inability to use a computer, saying, "I thought that was terrible by the way" and "if I'd have had anything to do with it, we never would have done it."

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0SKjTqgjq8E&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0SKjTqgjq8E&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Of course, after correction by the Obamacamp, he put out another statement:
"Having now reviewed the ad, it is even more clear to me that given the disgraceful tenor of Senator McCain's ads and their persistent falsehoods, his campaign is in no position to criticize,"

So much wisdom. Man, I can't imagine how awesome they'll be in the White House. Please, USA put them in. We need him to use that kind of wisdom in foreign affairs.

He directly admits that, once again, he's talking about something he doesn't even know about.

He does not know when to shut up. Wisdom?

Creating a fake controversy to draw more attention to the fact that Mccain doesn't know how to use a computer.

    Good Work Biden, Good work.

Right... Biden's a dumbass... That's why everybody graduates law school and then gets to teach Con Law.

Please, pretty please, try to frame this election as to who the more intellectual pair are. McCain / Palin or Obama / Biden.

    I AM BEGGING YOU!!!!

Pretty sure he has recently gone and national TV and fessed up to the errors of his party recently... which is 100% the truth.

    Knowledge =/= Wisdom.

    Experience will give you wisdom.

You say you primarily want intellect in office? Well I want some wisdom in office.

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Biden gave us his honest opinion (or what he thought would sound good) that it wasn't a good idea to criticize McCain for his lack of computer skills. When he got back to the office, he found out he spoke out of turn, and he backpedaled a little.

Doesn't this happen every day for both campaigns with something? I suppose you can nitpick a little for not being in perfect alignment or else for not letting Biden have a longer leash, but I don't think it has much application to how this administration will govern the country. The ads criticizing McCain's computer skills are not a big deal; Biden's objection to them are not a big deal; and Obama's campaign's decision to backpedal is not a big deal. Why is this even a thread?

Wisdom will trump intellect in most aspects. But experience does not necessarily equate to wisdom. A person must be humble enough to learn from that experience in order to gain any wisdom from it.

In the case of the dynamic duo of Rumsfield and Cheney, I think it was combination of a lack of humility combined with a touch of pure treachery and greed that created their mass destructive powers....

I've had some Con Law profs that I would not want near the White House. Being a law professor doesn't mean you're a wise person. It means you understand a particular area of the law well enough to assign important cases to a bunch of students. I don't think Biden is an idiot but he definitely speaks without thinking.

Take this line from his interview with Katie Couric:

    http://cbs2.com/politics/joe.biden.interview.2.823202.html

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's what happened.'"
