My brother-in-law got my wife and I a Wii from Asia. He's also asking us what games we'd like to have, since he can get them cheap in Asia. My wife and I are not gamers (my last console was the original Nintendo), but we heard that a lot people who aren't gamers really enjoy playing on the Wii. Do people here have recommendations for Wii games for non-gamers like me? I'm basically looking for stuff that people can pick up quickly and have fun playing without having to learn a lot of complex controls, background stories, etc. I'm planning to take the Wii to my parents for Christmas, so something that older people can enjoy would be great too. Also, are there any really good multi-player games that a group of people can enjoy together? Should I bother getting an extra Wii-mote controller? All suggestions are much appreciated!

P.S. My Wii is a Japanese version and all menus are in Japanese. Is there anyway I can change the language to English? I've got English manual online and there is setting where you can change languages, but on the corresponding screen in my Japanese Wii, there is no such option.

Any of the minigame type games are good, like Wii Sports, Wii Play, Rayman, Mario Party, Wario Ware, etc.

Not sure how he's going to get the games 'cheap' unless it's a modded console. Ask him if it's modded. If it isn't, you will have to buy games from Japan, since the Wii is region-specific.
