What the best basketball movies you guys have seen and can recommend to me? I haven't seen any. Documentary or narrative, though I would prefer documentary. Not particularly interested in seeing the standard story arc of the sports movie.

Flight of Calvin Waters. Based on a true story about a football player, but adapted for basketball. Can't see it yet, a friend of mine made it and he's making the rounds at film festivals. Go to a Redbox and await its release with great anticipation.

    Worst Basketball Movie: Semi-Pro

Good Documentary Ones: Those "Championship Videos" from each year the Rockets won where they recapped the season/playoffs. They are very well done and still give me chills

    The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh...

This is by far the greatest hoops movie ever made, by far.
