I'll be the first to admit I under use my Macs capabilities. The new Leopard OS seems to have a ton of new features:

I just got the email today about the pre order.

Favorite Part is the time machine though.

Good luck finding enough hard drive space for that. I like Leopard too but time machine just seems like it'll eat my harddrive.

Also, it'll cost 20 bucks for me since I go to UT. W00t!

I preordered it with a 500GB HD, since I discovered that my security deposit was returned.

I want it, but I'm going to pass until I buy a new mac because I am running out of HD space.

Speaking of a new mac, does anybody have the new imac or know people that do? I have a mac mini ( i'm going to give to my brother) and a Macbook, but I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the 2.8 imac with the 24 inch screen.

I considered a macpro, but I really don't do anything special other than download music, "movies" :D , and surf the net, so i can't justify the extra money.

Time machine is meant to be used on a backup hard drive.

How do you get it for $20? That would be great! I plan on going to my school and I'm hoping to get a copy for $69 in store (which has been the traditional student price in the past). Fortunately I still have my old student ID, otherwise I'll get my gf to get it for me. Online the student discount only brings the price down to $109 I believe.

I'm pretty excited overall, there's some minor things that really bug me (no bread crumbs for example). And I would get a lot of use out of spaces and stacks.

Great deal going on at MicroCenter:

    Leopard OS v.10.5 - Single

    $89.99
    Price after $40 Micro Center mail-in rebate / Offer good thru 11/11/07 / Reg. $129.99 / 289892

I got mine at Fry's for $10 off at $119. I haven't really tested everything on it yet, but I do know I've had a few minor problems with some stuff...printing photos is one example.
