Anyone have our championship games on video?

i taped game one of the orlando series when nbatv replayed it about 2 months ago. it's missing about the first 5 minutes of action but if you happen to need that one game i have most of it at least.

 

I know I have a few of them tapped.I've moved a couple of times and I'll have to look for them.

 

For sure, I know I have the Rocks-Suns series game 5 and 7 on the 94 championship. I have the 7th game of the Rocks-Knicks series although its on 2 tapes and the second part is kinda crappy (taped on Tonzi brand tape). If u need those, just give me an email.

 

I have all the finals series games from the two championship series on VHS. Bad news is they are in Australia and in the PAL format. I could probably ge them sent over here if you get desparate. I would definitely be interested in DVD versions.

 

hey Davo. Did you tape those in Australia? I'm curious to know if the lost minutes to the OJ Simpson chase were seen anywhere in the world, before they went to split screen.

also, you want to meet up with heyschweetie and I before the last game. Crisco and his wife are, hopefully, going with us too. Feel free to bring your wife again and show us again how you're not really whipped.

 

Yes - I did tape them in Australia, but sadly the OJ minutes are missing as well. To make it worse, since the game was on tape delay, the whole OJ chase was just cut out - no explanation given.

I might be keen for the last game, since the pick-up game is now on Saturday and i can't go The wife can't come though - she will still be living the good life in Whistler, while I come back to Houston. Can you email me the details of where & when?

 

You know what though? The championship video wouldn't be the same without that timeless, classic bit of off-court drama that we all hated.

 

i doubt anyone has this, by do any of you have that rockets/blazers game where vernon maxwell punched that fan in the mouth, i missed that game, and really wanna see it...lemme know if anyone has it, and i'll pay them for a copy....

 

Damn do I miss the playoffs. I popped in that tape of the Suns/Rocks game 5 and man, I feel like I am in the same environment again. Just loved how the guys on the bench get up for every shot they make. Loved it how they won the jumpball with Thorpe grabbing and handing it off to Horry for a quick layup. Then everybody in the starting lineup except Thorpe score the first 9 points. Man, I cant wait for the Rocks to get back to the playoffs.

 

I just bought both Clutch City and Double Clutch (official NBA championship videos for 94 and 95)

All I have to say is this: ROBERT HORRY WAS MONEY IN THE PLAYOFFS. Dude was all over the place.

I miss the good old days when we made 3 passes and Horry hit the open trey or slashed to the basket damnit.....

 

I remeber being on a date with my girl and her family. It was pretty important since it was the first time I had been around her family. Anyway I tell this story of me needing despretly to get back home. they are busting their butts trying to get me home. Iget home and get to watch. . . . . the OJ chase, Its pretty funny now that I look back on it but my girls dad was Pissed when he found out why I "had' to get back. Man I loved that first championship.

Does anyone else remeber that add in sports illustrated, Hakeem was standing on some rings at a playground and it had all his acomplishments that year, MVP D player of the year and Finals MVP. It said to Hakeem for running rings around the competition. that was a sweet add.

Horry was clutch in the finals. My favorite dunk of his was when he got that fast break putback over mason and ewing. after he flushed it he was just yelling. Awesome, 2 years latter his 180 reverse dunk off a lob by drexler was nearly as good

 

Is it just me or does it almost seem impossible that we really have championships. I mean I look back and just think there's no way we really won it all back to back.

Shame I had just started watching all the games at the beginning of 93-94 so I wasn't as intense a fan as I am now. Otherwise my memories would be even sweeter. Like I'm not even sure what y'all are talking about with Rockets/Suns game 5. Was that the OT game that I don't remember going into OT.

Back to the question, I know I used to have game 7 of both on tape but I'm not sure if some fool may have recorded over them or if they got lost. I would love to just pull them out and enjoy it all over again.

 

The game 5 of the 94' Rocks/Suns didnt go into OT. That was the next year. This was the series where the first 4 games, the road team won. Then the final three were won by the home team which was the Rocks.

Yea, its really hard to realize that the Rocks did indeed win those championship years. I was loving it the whole way. I even collected all of the newspapers and its upstairs in the attic. The first year, I remember my sister drove me down the streets here in the neighborhood and going down the major streets on my side of town and people where outside celebrating and i high five some stranger that was in the street. The second year, i was on vacation with my mother in the Philippines but still got to watch series live. It was just that it was showing in the morning.
