Sohu.com Sports: Why every time when you guys played the LA Lakers, the game is always so frigidly intense and nail-biting?

Yao Ming: Because this is Los Angeles.

Sohu.com Sports: Tell us what you thought about this game.

Yao Ming: Well, tonight we won our game relying on a little bit of luck; we really should not have played like this. We were still leading 12 points with 1:30 minutes to go, and we should have closed the game out steadily and stably. We seemed not prepared to have our opponents scored so many points, and they nearly caught up with us and forced an over time. Surely hope such situation never occurs in future.

Sohu.com Sports: So is the team gelling proceeding better than you expected?

Yao Ming: It still needs time. I felt we're not yet quite adapted to certain aspect of the the game plan/tactics.

Sohu.com Sports: So in which aspects or areas that you still feel uncomfortable as far as the team gelling is concerned?

Yao Ming: Well sometimes our flow was not smooth; very often, we ran into certain positions, and then it seemed we forgot or did not know how to continue on our next moves. If the team is well-trained, then even if we run into wrong positions, we can promptly rectify mistakes made, and continue to execute our tactics/game plan, at least there should be players movement to continue moving the ball. Tonight very often, the ball was stopped in a certain position; the players stopped moving for a long time, and did not know what should be their next position or what should they do next.

Sohu.com Sports: So the LA Lakers is still Kobe Bryant's LA Lakers?

Yao Ming: At least for tonight. Now it could be Day by Day. (Smiles)

Sohu.com Sports: Say something about Kobe Bryant's performance tonight.

Yao Ming: It's the same as last year. He was extremely insane....a pure scoring machine.
