    A Katy school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student was ordered by a judge this morning to have no further contact with the teen.

    State District Judge George Godwin ordered that Virginia Cammack, 35, not talk to or contact the 17-year-old boy while free on $20,000 bond. Cammack was charged Tuesday with having an improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony.

    After the brief hearing, prosecutor Denise Oncken said Cammack taught at Morton Ranch High School. She said Katy ISD authorities were led to Cammack by an anonymous e-mail and phone call from a parent.

    Is it illegal to have a student-teacher relationship, or just because the student is 17?

    It is against the Ethics Code:

    Educator's Code of Ethics

    (F) Standard 3.6. The educator shall not solicit or engage in sexual conduct or a romantic relationship with a student.

    The kid is probably good looking. Probably already ran through all the 18yr old hottie seniors. Thats the dream. I can gig some random 35yr old with no morals. I can't even locate the 18yr olds. Im going to hell

    Why is it whenever a news on teacher-student relationship pops up, it is about a female teacher with a male student? I always think that the case on male teacher vs female student is more frequent than the other.
